- Each case gives you a new crime scene, a fresh 8×8 grid, and its own amount of evidence to find.
- Use the dropdown to filter cases by type if you're focusing on a specific unit.
- You can complete cases in any order — great for makeup work, sub days, or a full-year rotation.

- Read the scenario below the timer to see what crime you're investigating.
- Click squares in the 8×8 grid to search for evidence. Some squares will be empty, others will reveal an evidence item (🧬🔍🧴🧪👟🥫🪟).
- Every piece of evidence you find is automatically added to the Evidence Log (Chain of Custody) below the grid, with a timestamp and location.
- Try to find all pieces of evidence before the 5-minute timer runs out.
- Once you've found everything (or time runs out), click "Take Quiz" and answer the short question about chain of custody.
- Click "Download Full Report" to save your evidence log as a case report file — this is what you'll turn in.
- Click "New Investigation" to reset this same case, or "🌐 Language" to switch between English and Spanish.
